HAULHOP
How HaulHop collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information
Effective date: August 5, 2026 | Last updated: August 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mover.com Inc., doing business as HaulHop (“HaulHop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information when you use haulhop.app, related mobile experiences, and our marketplace, booking, payment, messaging, map, support, and account services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Policy applies to Renters, vehicle Owners and operators, applicants, website visitors, support contacts, and other Platform users. It does not govern an Owner’s independent handling of information outside HaulHop or a third party’s website, app, payment service, insurer, identity-verification service, or map service. Those parties may have their own privacy notices.
Account and profile data may include your name, email, phone number, password hash, profile photo, date of birth, business details, emergency contact, and communication preferences. We do not design administrator tools to reveal your actual password.
Government ID details, selfie or liveness checks, driver’s-license information, driving eligibility, insurance information, business licenses, tax forms, and verification results. Where possible, verification vendors process the underlying documents and return status or limited fields.
Vehicle identification number, plate, make, model, year, location, registration, title or authorization records, insurance, condition, mileage, photographs, availability, rates, equipment, cargo limits, and maintenance or inspection information.
Pickup and delivery locations, dates and times, service type, cargo description, messages, quotes, confirmations, cancellations, inspection photos, signatures, mileage, fuel, tolls, citations, receipts, tips, disputes, refunds, damage reports, and claims.
Billing details, payout details, payment tokens, transaction identifiers, chargeback information, and limited card information such as brand and last four digits. Full payment credentials are generally handled by payment processors, not stored by HaulHop.
Messages between users, support requests, call or chat records where disclosed, reviews, photos, reports, survey responses, and other content you submit.
We may collect IP address, device and browser type, operating system, app version, identifiers, language, referring pages, pages viewed, clicks, session timestamps, crash logs, diagnostic data, approximate location inferred from IP, cookie or similar-technology data, and security events.
With permission, the Platform may collect precise or approximate device location to show nearby trucks, calculate distance and estimated arrival, support pickup and delivery, prevent fraud, improve safety, and record booking progress. Depending on your settings and the feature, location may be collected while the Platform is in use and, only with separate notice and permission, in the background during an active booking. You can change device permissions, but some features may stop working.
We may receive information from other users; payment and payout processors; identity, driving-record, background-check, insurance, fraud, map, analytics, hosting, communications, and support vendors; public records; marketing partners; and authorities. If another person provides information about you, we use it for the relevant booking, safety, support, or legal purpose.
We disclose personal information only for business and legal purposes such as the following:
We and vendors may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent fraud, understand use, and support advertising. HaulHop should publish a cookie control when required and honor legally required browser or device signals.
If HaulHop later offers the Platform where a legal basis is required, we process information as necessary to perform contracts, comply with law, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests that are not overridden by individual rights, and obtain consent where required. Before international expansion, HaulHop should add region-specific disclosures, rights, representatives, and transfer safeguards.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Platform; maintain transaction, tax, insurance, safety, and audit records; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; prevent fraud; and comply with law. Retention varies by data type. Account and booking records may be retained after closure when needed for those purposes. We may retain de-identified information without the same limits. HaulHop should adopt an internal retention schedule before launch.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as access controls, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, vendor controls, password hashing, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Users should use a unique password, protect devices and verification codes, and promptly report suspected compromise to haulhoptrucks@gmail.com.
If a breach affects protected information, we will investigate and provide notices as required by applicable law, including Alabama’s data-breach notification requirements where applicable.
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about disclosures; to withdraw consent; or to opt out of certain advertising, sale, sharing, profiling, email, text, push notifications, or precise location use.
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and users must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact haulhoptrucks@gmail.com, so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
Identity verification may involve a selfie, facial geometry, liveness signal, government identifier, precise location, or other information treated as sensitive under some laws. HaulHop will use sensitive information only for permitted purposes such as identity verification, safety, fraud prevention, booking performance, and legal compliance; will obtain consent where required; and will not use it for unrelated profiling. Vendor retention and deletion terms must be reviewed before deployment.
The Platform may link to or integrate with third parties. HaulHop is not responsible for their independent privacy practices. Review their notices before providing information. If a payment, identity, map, analytics, insurance, or communications provider is deployed, HaulHop should name or categorize it accurately in the published version.
U.S. privacy rights vary by state and may depend on business size, revenue, data volume, and use. Before offering HaulHop outside Alabama, counsel should determine which comprehensive state privacy laws apply and add required notices, opt-outs, appeal rights, and metrics. We will not discriminate unlawfully against a person for exercising a privacy right.
We may update this Policy as the Platform and law evolve. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. The version in effect when information is collected generally governs, subject to lawful updates.
